I wrote my first lines of code last semester in Comp110 with Kris--and ended up loving it! When I heard that Fred Brooks quote on day one (transcribed below) I was hooked. During my time in 110, programming stopped being this dry alien process reserved for 'techies', and became this very real way for me to create beautiful and powerful things. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised how fun coding together could be.
I am actually not a CS major...yet! I am thoroughly considering that prospect this semester, so if you are are too then hit me up.
Fred Brooks quote: "the programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed form pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination. Few media of creation are so flexible, so easy to polish and rework, so readily capable of realizing grand conceptual structures."
